Ask Will Online's Stats (From Google Analytics) September 1st - October 1st
Visits - 11, 654
Considering I haven't published much on the website either, that's a pretty good. Looking at last month, which had 4,175 visits, that's an increase of 279%!
Here is a new statistics page you won't have seen if you stay updated with Ask Will Online's stats each month. Here is a content drill down of my pages showing how many pageviews 2011 posts get compared to 2012. This makes clear I need to post more often in 2012!
Bounce Rate - 85.88%
Although I don't like this bounce rate at all, it has become part of Ask Will Online. People come to this website for revision notes and blogging help. With the revision notes, it is hard to make people click onto other articles because once they have the information, they don't need to go onto any other page. Either way, at least it has stayed consistent at the 85-86% mark.
Pageviews is 14,534 therefore average pages per visit is 1.25
It's always good to see pages/visits staying consistent because it means that visits and pageviews are proportional to each other. Pageviews at 14,000 is also good. However, I am still concerned with Google. Google Analytics are displaying my stats at 14,000 while Blogger stats are saying I got 23,000. However, I think i know why Google Analytics shows different stats to Blogger. If you want to read about it, click here.
Search Engine Traffic - 88.06%
What I was most scared with this traffic increase was that search engine traffic would go down because I was getting traffic from less organic or less reliable sources. However, it turns out the traffic increase was organic because search engine traffic has only gone down 2%. This is great news: especially for banner advertising on Ask Will Online because organic traffic is healthy traffic!
September has been a great month from the Charity perspective for the fact that every BuySellAds slot was completely sold! This meant I had sold:
- Two 125x125 ad units - $10 each in price.
- 468x60 header unit at $15.
- 300x250 above content unit for $35.
Unfortunately, BuySellAds takes 25% of the ad unit price (compared to Adsense which take 32%, it's not so bad!) which means that Ask Will Online made $52.50! This works out at roughly £30 which will be donated to Alzheimer's Research UK. From this, we have funded one hour and a half hours of research into fighting dementia. I used 'we' because without you looking on Ask Will Online, there would be no traffic and no-one buying advertising spaces. Therefore, indirectly, you are the ones that donated to Alzheimer's Research UK. Well done!
