I knew this month that it was going to be hard for Ask Will Online seeing that I would be away for two weeks visiting New York and Canada. However, in some areas, it has been better than expected…Saying this, the traffic hasn’t exactly been rolling in…
But, I will not threat! This month is the last of my low traffic because in September, all the ‘kids’ will be going back to school! This means work. This means homework. This means a lot of Googling! Therefore, I should see an improvement next month.
Ask Will Online Stats (From Google Analytics) August 1st – September 1st
Visits – 4,175
This is another decrease from last month of more than 1,000 views. It is not good at all. Yet, considering I have been away for two weeks and school is soon to start soon nationally, I will not threat.
Bounce Rate – 85.49%
With most these statistics, I am not worried. The reasons why is because this traffic is not from students. The students that search for Ask Will Online pages are much healthier bringing in a better bounce rate than this.
Page views is 5,309 therefore average pages per visit is 1.27
With the pageviews having a decrease of around 2,000 and pages per visit decreasing by 0.12, these stats are not a nice site either. Let’s just hope for better next month where there will be strong expectations.
Search Engine Traffic – 87.93%
The search engine traffic, at least, has stayed very consistent at around 88%. When all else fails, I can always rely that the majority of the traffic comes from organic sources. This will help to bring more advertisers through BuySellAds because organic traffic is healthy and fresh!
Charity
Remembering that Ask Will Online is a social entrepreneurial website where all the earnings it makes goes to charity, it has not been a bad month for it either. Ask Will Online managed to get another advertiser on BuySellAds selling a $10 ad zone. Even though this was bought while I was away, I still managed to successfully get it up and running meaning more money for charity! While this has been going on, Adsense has been raking in some money too. Here are the outlines of what will go to charity for August:
- £10.53 was made with Google Adsense
- $7.50 was made from the ad unit being bought on BuySellAds (BuySellAds keeps 25% of it). This translates to £4.72.
To make it even, it will be £15 going to charity this month. The charity being chosen to have this money is SOS Children’s Village Society that help children in poor countries survive and live a generally happier life by helping them.
