It's every blogger's addiction: stats be it on Blogger or WordPress. You can't help but see how successful your blog is actually doing. How much money you have actually made whatever way you choose (Adsense, monthly ad space etc..). You can't help but check out your stats every two minutes stopping you from updating, customizing and uploading content to your blog. Although stats are what you measure your blog's success on, can you blog for a month without peaking once at your stats?
I know I wouldn't be able to do this as I publish ask will online's stats every month but I know any other blogger would be able to blog without looking at their stats for one whole month. It benefits you and your blog:
- Stats of a blog will take up some majority of your time blogging as you want to know if you are getting pageviews, visitors, money etc...
- Stats make you paranoid over your blog's success and paranoia and internet do not mix.
- You will make more time to do things that matters: blog!
- You will be free of emotions from stats (frustration, anger, confusion etc..)
It's never good to be addicted to stats. It's nothing you can truly change immediately so why do you have to check them out every minute?
